Southmont Schools offer online and onsite registration for parents of incoming students for the 2018-2019 school year. Please be sure to read the information carefully, and contact Ellen Hedge if you have questions or require more information at ellen.hedge@southmont.k12.in.us or 765-866-0350 x356. Southmont Schools welcome and accept transfer students, and encourage parents who live outside of our district boundaries to contact the administration office at 765-866-0203 for more information on how your child can become a part of our educational family.

How Do I Register My Child?

NEW STUDENTS:  Parents of new students, including kindergarteners, should plan to visit onsite registration at Southmont High School on July 27th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Please bring all required documentation with you, including a copy of your child's birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency and any custodial or guardianship records.

RETURNING STUDENTS: Parents of returning students may register their child in one of two ways:

  1. Onsite - Southmont Schools will hold an onsite registration day at Southmont High School on July 27th between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  2. PowerSchool Parent Portal - Each parent has a unique set of login credentials that are assigned to them so that they may access PowerSchool to view student information. Those credentials will also allow them to register their child(ren) online.  If you have forgotten your PowerSchool Parent login information, please contact Ellen Hedge at ellen.hedge@southmont.k12.in.us or 765-866-0350 x356.​

How much will it cost to register my child?

Student textbook rental fees are different depending on the age of your child(ren). You may contact Melissa Norman, Textbook Rental Coordinator (Melissa.Norman@southmont.k12.in.us or 765-866-0350 x258), for more information.

Is there financial assistance if I require it?

Yes.  Parents may request financial assistance by completing the appropriate forms on the "Financial Assistance" page of our website (http://www.southmontschools.org/financial-assistance).
